Fire leaves more than just visible damage. Toxic soot and lingering smoke can spread much further than the flames, and when left untreated, they cause lasting or permanent damage to surfaces, contents and health. Our team handles the whole job, from emergency cleanup to restoration. Based in Maidstone, we cover the whole county, 24 hours a day.
Concerned about fire damage in Kent? Call us now on 0800 088 4170; we are on call 24 hours a day, and our team can be dispatched to any location in Kent. We provide a fast response to ensure damage remains limited and you can return to normal as soon as possible.
Our fire damage team is based at our Kent head office on Crismill Lane in Maidstone. This puts us in an ideal location to reach all properties across the county quickly. We help homeowners, landlords, tenants and businesses from Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham to Maidstone, Canterbury, Ashford, Sevenoaks and more.
Fire damage unfortunately gets worse the longer it is left. Soot can etch and corrode surfaces quickly, with smoke working itself deeper into the building. A fast response from our team ensures we save more of your property. We’ll attend quickly, make the site safe and begin comprehensive cleaning.
Our specialist teams can be on site within 1 to 2 hours of your initial call.

Kent has a varied profile of buildings. Timber-framed buildings and period properties line the streets of Faversham, Canterbury and other towns, and with their older structure, soot and smoke sink into timber, plaster and brick, leaving lasting damage. For these properties to be cleaned properly, they require professional attention and not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Kent is also home to a large commercial and industrial base. Along the Medway towns, the Thames Estuary and major routes through Dartford, Ashford, and Ebbsfleet, warehouses, factories and distribution centres compete for space. A fire in any of these premises can halt operations and carry significant health and safety risks as well as compliance concerns. Restoring a commercial property quickly and safely is very different from cleaning a home, so it requires specialist equipment, knowledge and personnel to ensure it is done correctly.
Additionally, Kent has many rural areas. These are home to larger properties, farms and outbuildings that are often far from the nearest fire service. This means a fire can take hold before anyone arrives, leaving more extensive damage to be put right. Whatever the property, and wherever its location, our Kent fire damage restoration team can attend, restore it and make it safe.
It’s a common assumption that simple cleaning may be enough to rid your property of any trace of fire, but smoke, soot and ash linger long after the flames have been put out. Contact our team if any of the below apply:
Fire restoration for a Kent property is a technical job, and for best results, should follow a set process.
For commercial properties, we also work to CDM regulations and coordinate with other contractors to keep downtime to a minimum.
Soot and smoke each need their own specialist approach. Our dedicated soot and ash cleaning services and smoke damage cleaning pages explore these in more detail. Our team will always advise on the best service for your situation and will explain what is required, jargon-free and with full transparency.
We were called to Viridor’s polymer recycling plant in Rochester after a major fire caused by a lithium battery ignited in the plant’s conveyor system. The fire severely damaged the roof, ground floor and high-level machinery, leaving the site unsafe and out of action, with toxic residues including corrosive chlorides across the facility.
Because the plant was critical to operations, we began with a test clean so Viridor’s management could see the achievable results and we could plan accurately. Once approved, we mobilised within three working days and ran a planned six-week programme, decontaminating the roof and high-level machinery, clearing waste and toxic residue, and solving practical challenges such as water pressure by installing dedicated manifolds for the cleaning equipment. We worked alongside other contractors on scaffolding, welding and reinstatement, and kept the whole site compliant with CDM regulations.
The programme was completed in just over five weeks, ahead of schedule. Chloride testing confirmed all harmful residues were gone and Viridor was able to open sooner than expected.
